However with the guidance of the wondrous Mary Berry (lots of helpful cookbooks provided!!) I managed to produce some remarkable results, not just edible but triumphant! So for anyone feeling the same, give it a go, it´s great fun to use. The weather wasn´t great but it really didn't matter as we had such a wonderful retreat waiting for us. The combination of very appealing interior design together with high quality eco-friendly ethos made this a superb home from home ... I had booked The Daydreamers cottage from Unique Home Stays for my honeymoon.
Country dream
I was overwhelmed with how luxurious the property was inside and out. Although it's a huge property, the moment you walk through the door you feel right at home. I was amazed at the uniqueness of each room and you can tell a lot of thought had gone into it. Me and my family had a wonderful time there and we will definitely be returning in the near future. I would also like to mention the amazing customer service I received, I made my booking through Louise, she went out of her way to help me choose the correct holiday home for me and my family.

Little Red Lock is a great place to get away from it all in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside.
Excellent customer relations
Terrible experience - awful customer service to both owners and clients. We weren't too happy with our stay but the company reached an amicable setllement with us. They clearly have some great properties, we were unlucky I think to book the Hide on a hot day which made the inside rather uncomfortable. The swimming pool was the upsetting thorn in our side during our stay. I wouldn't go in it from day one as it was dirty, & was as the other recent reviewer also observed had masses of algae under the water & floating on top of the water.

They provided little to poor interaction when we were at the property, with little to no understanding of the needs and requirements. We asked them several times for the owners number, and had no response.
Wonderfully remote beach stays
Thank you kindly for taking the time to write such a lovely review regarding Scarlet Hall and we are so very pleased that you had a wonderful stay. Just returned from our second break away with Unique Home Stays. The properties they offer are so stunning it’s difficult to chose which one to stay in. I think they are reasonably priced too and I like the fact they offer short breaks of 3-4 days too. Booking is easy and the follow up information and directions etc along with a virtual property guide arrive within good time. Thank you for your review on Trust Pilot.
Our 3 month old babies had to spend 4 nights sleeping on the wooden floor next to us in the small main bedroom, of which we were very unhappy about, we paid £387 per night for this privilege. This is our second stay with Unique Homestays and we have been delighted with the properties. They will be my first choice when booking again as I know the photos, description and properties certainly live up to expectations.
I recently booked a stay via unique homestays to celebrate an anniversary. The whole process from finding the property, booking the stay, and the holiday itself was faultless. The property was stunning, the customer service and communication provided by unique homestays was impeccable so our experience as a whole was perfect. I’ve booked many UK holidays with all the well known holiday cottage companies and can say that my experience with unique homestays has been the best of them all. I keenly booked a property for 3-4 months away and paid around £700 deposit, however 4 days later it materialised that one of our daughters could not make that date. I was happy for Unique Homestays to keep the deposit but called to ask if we could move the date.
Homestay.com is a global accommodation booking website for people seeking a real and genuine travel experience. It allows someone to book a room in another person’s home. What makes a homestay so unique is the people. Each homestay has a host there to welcome guests into their home and offer guidance and assistance during the stay. At the core of the homestay experience is a host being present to welcome the guest into their home. Our guests will meet the people from the community they’re visiting and enjoy a genuinely local experience.
We are saddened that the accommodation did not reach your expectations, as we strive for the very best with each and every one of our properties. We chose this property as we felt it would fulfill our requirements, despite the fact that it cost nearly 4.5K for the week - so we of course expected everything to be perfect. We take all feedback we receive very seriously as it helps to work with our owners on making any changes and improvements necessary. Good customer service is also worth paying for.
The guest will always pay the host directly, either on arrival, or in advance (as agreed directly between the host & guest). Homestay.com does not transact the accommodation payment, therefore is unable to settle payment for a stay directly with a host, as we do not collect this money from the guest. Kudos to Homestay for quickly fixing the situation. I have researched airbnb complaints and there are just as many cancellations by hosts there.
